I’m kind of nervous as I have never considered myself a writer (and I always go to my sister for grammar advice). But as time goes on, I crave more and more to put my thoughts, recipes, health advice, intuition, motherly experience, and hopes for the future into written words for others to experience with me. Writing is not my forte. The only title I have that amounts to anything in today’s world is a Business Degree, but I have a strong understanding for true health and raising healthy children, because over 7 years ago I stopped listening to the mass produced jargon we are fed daily by the government and gigantic food & drug corporations with a hidden monetary agenda, and began to think for myself. I took my own health into my own hands and now have a passion to inspire others to do the same.
I also wanted to start this blog to answer questions that I receive all the time on my Instagram but simply do not have enough hours in my day to respond and help everyone on a personal one-on-one basis. With this blog I can easily refer people’s questions to a post which hopefully will answer their question. Some of my posts on Instagram were becoming close to book length and I realized that a better outlet to express my thoughts would be through a blog. This way, the followers who care to hear my advice, opinions, and “rants” can venture over here to my blog with their own intentions to hear what I have to say.
SIDE NOTE: my e-book is coming soon! I can’t wait for you all to experience my favorite recipes which tantalize my taste buds and satisfy me to my core, by being rich in flavor and abundance, and perfect for optimal health and well being.
I’ll keep this post light by leaving you with a delicious savory vegetable recipe. I didn’t know what to call this recipe since it has its own unique flavor and doesn’t relate to anything else I have eaten in the past. So I decided to call it exactly what it tastes like! Boom. It is freaking delicious.
CREAMY VEGGIE LETTUCE CUPS
- 1 stick celery
- 1/2 medium zucchini
- 1/2 a red, orange, or yellow bell pepper
- 1 heirloom tomato
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 a cucumber
- 1-2 heads of butter leaf, romaine, or ice burg lettuce leaves
- 2 sticks celery
- 1/2 medium zucchini
- juice of half an orange
- 2 Tbsp raw macadamia butter
- black pepper to taste
Finely chop all dry ingredients except lettuce leaves and pour into a large serving bowl. Blend all the sauce ingredients (except the black pepper) until smooth and top over chopped dry ingredients. Thoroughly mix it all in with the sauce and sprinkle with black pepper to taste. Grab your lettuce cups and scoop out some creamy goodness into each lettuce leaf as you devour with messy delight!
Teach your taste buds to enjoy simple flavors of delicious organic produce. Purchase organic (and local whenever possible) not only because it is healthier for you and the planet, but because it tastes better too! All your recipes will taste better if each produce ingredient tastes delicious on its own.
Welp, that’s all for now! I will be coming at you soon with a post I am super passionate about. I hope it’s not wrong of me to save the topic for surprise! Love you all!
In love and health
